A Very Painful Minute

Blooper Pic: Out, damned spot! DX

That's the best way to describe the final moments of my brother's loss against a rival basketball team. No doubt about it - he pulled his weight, but I guess the other team just wanted it more.

Cardigan - The Gap
Orange Headband - Goody scarf
Green Scarf - Costa Blanca
Purple Tank Top - The Gap
Blue Jeans - Guess

Like my makeup? I got a lil' shadow-happy on the eyes today, but I think it looks okay. Now if only I could do something about those bushy caterpillars I call eyebrows...

Aargh, mateys!

Actually, I wasn't planning on updating my blog today. But...I've already finished the Twilight books, so my distraction fodder has been exhausted.

Where's Sookie Stackhouse when you need her...?

Back From the Dead

'Tis the season to...aww, who cares...? :P

Nope. I have no good reason for not updating this blog in 9 months. I'm just lazy as hell.

I figure even if I'm the only person who reads this blog, at least it gives me an opportunity to see what works and what doesn't. I'm all for self-improvement.

This is what I wore to a swap meet on a Saturday morning. I didn't buy anything (cheapskate that I am), but I did see a nice set of pashmina shawls that I mulled over. REAL CASHMERE (at least, that's what the vendor said).

Red Belt - Ebay
Turqoise Sweater - Sirens (I think - I can't remember ;P)
Headband/Scarf - Walmart
Jeans - Guess?
Earrings - ??? (from vendor at a festival)

Later that night, this is what I wore to my work's Christmas Party. Last year I came late and by myself, so after I scrambled to find a seat, I was in "deer-caught-in-the-headlights" mode for a good 3 hours. This year I was a little smarter: I came early and brought a friend, so at least I had someone to talk to. The food was...meh...but all in all, it was an improvement on the fiasco last December.

Black Sweater/Tights - Walmart
Dress - Felix
Shoes - Pay-less
Coconut Earrings/Flower Necklace/Purse - Gifted from Grandma in the Bahamas

I also won a bottle of wine as a door prize - now I don't need to buy Mom a present!

My First Fashion Post

Blooper pic: OMG, look at this idiot. She has her eyes closed during the shot.

So, I watched the Grammys last night. It sucked (what's new?).

I guess if I'm going to call this my fashion blog, I should offer some fashion. So here is a brief intro into my personal style:

Greetings, Earthlings. I come in peace...in a wrinkled Police t-shirt

This is the first photo that I took for my blog. This is my casual wear for walking around town.

This next picture is one I took yesterday. I was going to a local concert, and I was going for a "kinda-dressed-up-but-not-to-the-point-where-I'm-trying-too-hard" sorta look. Notice the giant green bead necklace: I bought that about 2 years ago, and to my knowledge it's the first time I ever wore the darn thing.

*Sigh*

I actually just took this photo today. This is what I wore when my dad and I were going to eat lunch at a buffet.

This one....didn't quite come out the way that I had planned. I guess the lighting was poor; couple that with our urgency to leave and my jacked-up hairstyle, and you got yourself a solid 4.3/10 photograph. This one definitely this one needs a do-over.

I'll try to be more frequent with these style-logs in the future.
